Old Websites

Kay Blackburn
Kay & I met on the theatre boosters board. She saw the work I did for the school and asked if I could help her with a new website. It was an interesting project. She had a website and a blog that she wanted to combine into one website. She didn't have very strong visual branding, so I recommended a re-brand as well as a new website.
Kay's blog was located at kayblackburn.com
Her coaching website was at kbhealthcoaching.com
Brand Identity
Kay's original coaching logo was something she made in Canva. She loves the color red, but also wanted green to represent her health coaching. We both agreed it kinda looked like Christmas. We explored color theory and decided on a new color pallette. Her logo design went through a couple of iterations. She ended up settling on a butterfly incorporating her initials.

Kay is very pleased with the final results. She even figured out how to add a little of her favorite color in the images.
Getting her domains all pointed at the new site proved a little challenging. She had multiple URLs and different locations for her email hosting. I appreciate the imput of my mentor in helping me sort it all out.
In addition to her website, I helped her set up her email marketing, and made her a couple of branded email templates. I also made sure her new brand was added to her Canva account with colors and fonts so she can stay consitant with the look and feel of all of her graphics.
Ironwood Ridge High School Website Design
My local high school drama department didn't have a website. They were using a 3rd party site to sell tickets, and that site was used to promote the shows as well. As a member of the booster board, I offered to build a website and manage it for them.
It's been an interesting experience. As much as they seemed to welcome the idea of a department website, it has been difficult figuring out how to get content. I guess that is one of the tricky things in a volunteer organization.

TOARQ Consulting
As a UX Consultant with TOARQ consulting, I created two deleverables to hand over to partners to make is easier for them to execute the actionable insights and recommendations we made based on the Online Discoverability Audits.
The first is a Social Media Tool kit. This is a customizable word document that partners can add their specific event information to pass along to vendors & other participants to increase brand awareness and to leverage these partners to endorse the event on their social media accounts.
How-to Handbook is a 40 page document I created to assist partners in executing some of the recommendations. It has a wide variety information including website creation, Drip Campaigns, how to create a social media calendar, & a comparison of multiple social media scheduling services and other tips and information.
